The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW) Union has fought for auto mechanics, painters and bodymen since our first Automotive Local was founded in 1912 in New York City. The IAMAW are the number one Union for automobile service workers in North America. The IAMAW are the bargaining agent at many dealerships across British Columbia covering all the major makes.
The IAMAW has been representing workers in British Columbia since 1901. The Union is well known for its democratic structure and its dedication to the service of their members. It is both a mutual protection and a mutual aid organization.
